About Foretiva

Foretiva started with a simple observation: the best moments at a wedding are the ones everyone secretly predicted. Will the groom cry during the vows? Will the best man's speech run long? Will the bouquet toss go badly? People make these calls under their breath at every special event. We just gave them a scoreboard.

An organizer sets up the event and its questions, guests join with an invite link, and everyone locks in their predictions before the big day. As the event unfolds, the answers come in, the points add up, and the sharpest hunch-haver wins a prize the organizer provides. It works for weddings, graduations, baby showers, and anything else worth gathering for.

Free for players

Foretiva is free for players, always. Organizers get their first five events free too; after that, scheduling an event costs $1.99. No subscriptions, no recurring charges. No money is ever wagered, pooled, or collected from players; the system itself refuses payment handles in event content. Prizes come solely from event organizers, the way a door prize does. This is a party game, not a betting market.

Fair by construction

Every prediction locks at 11:59pm the night before the event, for everyone, organizers included. Once an event is published its date cannot quietly move, every question is worth exactly one point, and the organizer can play along but can never win their own prize. Sports events bend two of those rules, for good reason: nobody controls a real game, so the organizer competes like any other player, and if the game itself is postponed, the organizer can move the event to the new date, with every player notified by email and picks open again until the new lock.
